Here at Impact we value and love the next generation. Psalm 127:3 states ‘Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord’ and we strive to honor and invest in that blessing.
Sunday mornings we have classes for babies through age two. Each class focuses on showing God’s love through song, play and short lesson material.
Sunday mornings we invest in our preschoolers with classes through PreKindergarten. These classes have a fun, interactive curriculum that teaches the children Bible stories through song, arts and crafts, games and object lessons.
Our elementary students learn more about God’s character and who they are in Him through large and small group learning environments. They engage in music, skits, games, object lessons and crafts all helping them learn more about who He is.
Note: All volunteers that work with students under the age of 18 complete an annual background check
Oasis Youth Ministry:
Geared toward grades 6-12, our youth meet on Wednesday evenings. During this time, they worship together, hear from the word and break out into grade level small groups led by excellent volunteers.
Awaken College Age Ministry:
The years after high school can be a time of great transition. We want to provide a place for college age individuals to have a safe place to land with a focus on fellowship and spiritual growth. (instagram.com/impactkcawaken)
Through the Men of Iron mentorship and discipleship program, we provide one-on-one discipleship opportunities for the men of Impact.
Impact Women's Ministry is multi-generational and provides different opportunities for women to connect with other women. This includes monthly Saturday morning gatherings, fellowship events, biannual conferences, and Lineage of Love - a yearly one-on-one discipleship program.
For adults 40-50 plus, this ministry hosts an event every third Saturday of the month where they have food, fellowship, games, and an inspirational message.
WORSHIP and creative ARTS
At Impact, we believe that the inner essence of worship is connecting with God by remembering who He is and what He has done, which leads us to a place of adoration and the surrendering of our whole selves. This is what it looks like to live a life of worship.
We believe that the Father has called each of us to respond to his greatness. We take seriously the instruction the Bible gives us to express praise and responses of worship through music, artistry, technical arts, dance/ banners, prayer, and communion. We seek to provide powerful worship experiences each week with the goal being an encounter with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Current opportunities include band member, vocalist, and/or technical volunteer (audio, media, lighting).
We also believe in raising up the next generation of worship leaders! We offer opportunities for involvement through our student and children’s ministries.
Every Sunday morning, we have a team dedicated to helping our guests and regular attenders feel comfortable and confident at Impact. This team is scattered throughout the building and grounds filling a variety of roles.
Some of the roles in our first impressions team include our door greeters, connection desk staff, ushers, parking attendants and more! Our goal is that every person who comes to Impact feels not only welcomed, but cared for.
Vision: To take the ministry of ImpactKC beyond the walls of our building. God has blessed us with resources and has set us on a mission to bring Glory to God by being and making disciples of ALL NATIONS.
Organizations we support: Shepherd's Care, Hope City, ImpactKC Garden
Our missions team works to put together missions projects that are local, national, and international. To find out more about upcoming events and projects, visit our facebook page.
Our Hospitality team, often working behind the scenes, provides support to our pastoral staff and congregation in a variety of ways.
Sunday morning staff:
The Sunday morning team helps in a variety of ways. They prepare coffee and breakfast items for the congregation, manage large church community meals and prepare our communion elements. The work this team does impacts nearly every person that attends during a Sunday morning service.
When an attender of Impact notifies us of a birth of a child, a death in the family, or a hospitalization, this team is there to coordinate meals for the family. This team shows God’s love through ensuring the family has warm meals provided during these life changing moments.
